AIM-listed ATH Resources has received planning consent from East Ayrshire Council for a 350,000 tonne extension to its Skares Road opencast coal site near Cumnock.
The extension, which will encroach on forested land, is expected to bring the total coal extracted from the site to six million tonnes. The company claimed yesterday it will secure 120 jobs for three years.See the full content of this document
