Summary
THINGS are changing on the south side of Glasgow, and I'm not just talking about the price of a sunbed session. Once the poor man's west end, the south of the city has gone through something of an evolution lately, as many hip young things, blown away by the astronomical house prices in the west, have flocked across the river in their droves.
Over the past decade, the south side has blossomed into a trendy area packed with style bars, hip restaurants, delis and cafes. Or at least, some of it has. Corners of Pollokshields and Shawlands can certainly compete with the likes of Glasgow's Byres Road or Edinburgh's Broughton Street now, while other areas, like Battlefield and Newlands, tentatively bring up the rear.See the full content of this document
