DONALD Biggar, chairman of Quality Meat Scotland, has been appointed for a further three years from 1 April, 2008, by Richard Lochhead, the Cabinet secretary for rural affairs.
On that date the status of QMS changes from that of a company jointly owned by NFU Scotland, the Scottish Association of Meat Wholesalers and the Meat and Livestock Commission, to a non- departmental public body, solely answerable to government ministers.See the full content of this document
