INWARD investment projects in Scotland rose by 90 per cent last year, making it the most active area in the UK outside London and the south-east of England, a new report shows.
The 2007 European Investment Monitor compiled by Ernst & Young shows that Scotland won 66 investment projects funded from outside the UK in 2006, up from 36 in 2005, moving it from sixth to third place in UK regions for most projects.
