ASDA'S chief executive yesterday ruled himself out of the running for the top job at Marks & Spencer, fuelling further speculation on who will succeed Sir Stuart Rose at the high street stalwart.

Andy Bond said he was "not interested" in becoming chief executive of M&S, which has come under fire from shareholders after Rose merged the roles of chairman and chief executive, going against corporate governance guidelines.
