ABERDEEN has bucked the recent advertising downturn while its newspapers have recorded double-digit growth for at least a year, according to publishing giant Daily Mail & General Trust.
DMGT said yesterday that, despite an 8 per cent fall in January and February across its regional newspaper division, Northcliffe, the oil and gas sector had pushed ad revenues at the Press & Journal and Evening Express in the opposite direction.
