The Old Vic will go dark for five months after today, when its current production, Arthur Miller's Resurrection Blues, closes a week earlier than planned, following a run of poor reviews and disappointing audience figures. It's just the latest show under Spacey's directorship to get a roasting from theatre critics, who have accused his programme of being dull and American-centric.
