THE Food Standards Agency has rejected claims of "a massive lack of urgency" as traditional wholesalers and butchers have failed to get bone-in beef joints from mature cattle back on the menu for Christmas.
Discussions have been dragging on over the possibility of getting bone-in beef cuts from cattle up to 30 months old back on the dinner table, after the age limit was cut to 24 months in January, as part of an EU compromise deal.See the full content of this document
