THE last meeting of Hibernian and Aberdeen was a decidedly unhappy debut for a new manager. The man in question hopes the same situation arises on Sunday when the teams meet at Easter Road.

The difference this time, of course, is that the debutant will be in the away dugout at Easter Road. Craig Brown had been appointed to succeed Mark McGhee as Aberdeen manager when his team lost 5-0 to Hearts a fortnight ago, but his reign did not officially begin until two days later.
