SINGER KT Tunstall is using a homecoming concert to boost a planned revamp of a jazz-age theatre. The Fife songstress is staging a curtain-raiser concert for her T in the Park appearance at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline in July.

A campaign is under way to raise GBP 2 million to restore the 1922 building to its former glory as a 1,700-seat theatre and live- music venue for Fife.
