A TOWN, nominated as one of Scotland's worst places to live, is Britain's new property hotspot, with its house prices rocketing by 36 per cent in a year, according to the Bank of Scotland.
Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, had been shortlisted by for the annual Carbuncle Award. But, according to the bank's latest Scottish house price index, the average property price in the "Iron Burgh" has risen to GBP 110,604 - GBP 4,000 above the Scottish average. And, at GBP 55,000 less than the UK average, Coatbridge, where five families chase every available property, the town represents great value.See the full content of this document
