A NEW telephone advice line for consumers could save the average caller GBP 100, it was claimed yesterday.

The GBP 30 million government initiative, which will result in 35 call-centre jobs for the Western Isles, marks the biggest single change for more than 25 years in the way people can exercise their rights by accessing consumer information and advice.
