SHOULD a hung parliament be confirmed today, with the Conservatives ahead in number of seats, several things could happen.
1 Gordon Brown stays on. This is entirely up to him. He has 18 days until Parliament next meets which is the first time that the Commons will have a chance to assert confidence in his government. Mr Brown can use that time to woo the Lib Dems, and potentially others, in the hope that together they can cobble together a majority.
