THE Prime Minister was hit with a new blow today when a poll revealed that voters thought to make up Labour's core support are leaning towards the Conservatives.

The UK-wide ComRes survey put the Tories on 40 per cent (up two points since last month) and Labour on 26 per cent (down five points). The Liberal Democrats were up three points on 20 per cent.
