THE cost of employing Scotland's senior NHS managers has more than tripled in the last three years, leaving the Scottish health service with a bill of almost GBP105 million.
The number of non-clinical staff being paid more than GBP50,000 soared from just over 600 to nearly 1,800 in three years. Salaries for the "army of NHS managers" also rocketed from nearly GBP34.9 million to more than GBP104 million between 2007 and 2010.See the full content of this document
