THE leaders of the internationally renowned Camphill Community yesterday welcomed a breakthrough in their protracted campaign to prevent their estate for adults and children with special needs being split in two by the proposed Aberdeen city bypass.

A delegation of city councillors has agreed to visit the Camphill estate at Newton Dee, Bieldside, amid claims that the centre is continuing to block vital survey work on proposals to drive the western peripheral route through the heart of their community.
