HUGH Dallas has called for the punishment for simulation to be upgraded from a caution to a straight red card but insists Scottish football is not in the grip of a diving epidemic.
The SFA's head of referee development was speaking in the wake of Rangers striker Kris Boyd becoming the latest player embroiled in a diving controversy this season. Boyd was booked by referee Willie Collum on Wednesday night when he went down in the penalty area during Rangers' Co-operative Insurance Cup win over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park despite clearly not being touched by an opposing player.See the full content of this document
