A SURPRISING and little known fact is that although demand for fresh raspberries has almost doubled in the past three years less than seven per cent of the population buy them.

That means that too few recognise the health benefits of rasps or like the flavour enough to pay the premium, but it also means that growers and retailers have a big potential market to aim for.
