Summary
FEARS that Aberdeen and Inverness could lose their direct rail links with London if planned new trains are scrapped were downplayed by the UK government yesterday.
The Department for Transport said a decision on the trains, to be made in October, was "not connected" with the future of direct services between the cities.See the full content of this document
