JOHN Smith, the president of the Scottish Football League, has condemned the tactics of the ten First Division clubs which he fears will ultimately lead to the disintegration of his organisation.

Speaking after yesterday's annual general meeting of the SFL at Hampden, Smith angrily accused the First Division representatives of selfishness and ignorance as they prepare to unveil their own plans for the future.
