MOTORISTS using the Forth Road Bridge are facing months of travel chaos again because of GBP 10 million worth of maintenance work to monitor the condition of the bridge's main cables.

Last year, hour-long tailbacks became a regular feature for weekend drivers using the bridge after the southbound lanes were closed off for almost six months in a GBP 3.5 million resurfacing project.
