DUNDEE University yesterday announced plans to take the institution's first tentative steps into the world of publishing.
The university has joined forces with the Edinburgh-based publisher, Birlinn Ltd, to establish the Dundee University Press Ltd, a spin-out company which will be devoted to the publication of "quality academic books with a wide audience appeal." Birlinn recently took over the East Linton-based Tuckwell Press, the world's leading publisher of books on Scottish history, and John Tuckwell, the company's founder, has been appointed to the position of commissioning editor for the new Dundee University Press (DUP).See the full content of this document
