GLASGOW will this evening bid to alleviate some of the gloom in their camp with a stirring win away to the Scarlets, but the presence of Ruaridh Jackson back at stand-off could provide a more long-term lift to the Scottish game.

Jackson celebrated his 21st birthday with a call-up to Scotland's training squad for the RBS Six Nations Championship and though he did not feature, the fly-half was hugely encouraged by the faith shown in him by then coach Frank Hadden. He is determined to kick on back at Glasgow and having won a third starting role at stand-off for tonight's Magners League clash, he is out to increase the pressure on Dan Parks.
