FERROVIAL, the Spanish industrial giant that took control of British airports operator BAA in 2006, yesterday sold its British subsidiary's World Duty Free arm for 715 million (GBP 545m).

The buyer is Autogrill, the Italian caterer controlled by the Benetton family, and the money raised by Ferrovial is expected to go towards the refinancing of GBP 9-GBP 10 billion of debt related to the takeover of BAA.
