CAMPAIGNERS have called for the return of a nightly sea link between Scotland and Belgium after operators on the route announced the current ferry would be replaced with a cheaper vessel.

The Greek firm Attica hopes to make a 14 million profit by selling Superfast X, the sole vessel on the Rosyth-Zeebrugge route since it removed a sister vessel and halved the number of sailings to three a week last year.
