A FORMER detective who claims she was subjected to a prosecution for perjury because of false fingerprint evidence is to receive GBP 750,000 in an out-of-court settlement.
Shirley McKie, 43, has fought for nine years to clear her name. The Scottish Executive maintained it had been an honest mistake when a fingerprint at a murder scene was linked to Ms McKie.
