On Sunday 21 May Edinburgh's Holyrood Park will host the first- ever Walk for Skin. One of a series of charity walks taking place throughout the UK this month, the three-mile event is the result of a collaboration between 15 skin charities, including the British Skin Foundation (BSF), the Psoriasis Association and the National Eczema Society, who are looking to raise money for people with skin diseases.
"People often feel rejected by society due to the highly visible or disfiguring nature of their condition and the walks are a way of making them feel publicly supported," says Su Ganderton from the BSF. "And the idea that by taking part in a stroll you can benefit not one, but 15 charities, is a real incentive too."See the full content of this document
