THE Forth Road Bridge's serious corrosion problems inside the main cables might not have come to light had tolls been abolished, its operators the Forth Estuary Transport Authority (FETA) claimed yesterday.
The authority said it would be "folly" to abandon tolls - now GBP 1 for cars - which it claimed would also increase congestion and environmental damage.See the full content of this document
