PRESCRIPTIONS for antidepressants have increased more than fourfold in Scotland in less than 15 years, figures have revealed.
A report by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (QIS) found that in 1992-3 there were 19 daily doses of antidepressants handed out by doctors per 1,000 of the population. But by 2005-6, this had increased to almost 85 doses per 1,000 people.See the full content of this document
