VENTURE Production shares slid to the lowest level in almost two years yesterday after traders seized on the delay of one of its key production projects for 2008.

Aberdeen-based Venture, which aims to take a leading role in the consolidation of oil producers in the North Sea, maintained it was on track to produce about 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day (boepd) this year.
