A FORMER professional golfer who has fought for nine years to clear his name of a rape allegation has had a new appeal rejected.

Three judges at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh yesterday said they had not been persuaded that a miscarriage of justice occurred when Graham Gordon, 49, was convicted by a jury and jailed for the 2001 attack on a woman in his home in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
