THE cost of helping children hit the headlines again this week. This time it was not the tens of thousands of pounds it will cost to put them through university, but the costs of helping them on to the property ladder.
A study by MORI for the charity the Joseph Rowntree Foundation claimed that British parents were spending GBP 17,000 to get their offspring into their first home.
