HOPES that two of Scotland's leading ski centres can still be saved from closure rose yesterday as the Glenshee Chairlift Company revealed that its board was involved in negotiations for the sale of both sites.

The future of both the Glenshee and Glencoe centres was plunged into uncertainty two months ago when the company announced that the two resorts were being put on the market after losing GBP 1 million in the past two years following a series of poor skiing seasons.
