THE Icons of Scotland 2004 - among them the actor Ewan McGregor, the writer Val McDermid, the Balmoral Hotel, and Pringle - were honoured last night at a special awards dinner in New York.
A special Wallace Award, presented by the American Scottish Foundation, was given to three generations of the Forbes publishing dynasty for their contribution to the relationship between the two countries.
