THERE'S an element of challenge in Festival Director Jonathan Mills's decision to schedule Tondal's Vision as part of his theatre programme. In every conventional sense, this is a music event, an intense and beautiful performance by six female voices of a sung version of the 12th-century story of Tondal, a young knight who falls asleep at a banquet, and - in what turns out to be the mere blink of an eye - experiences a life-changing journey to Hell and back, guided by a guardian angel.
