RUARIDH Jackson will tomorrow bid to live up to his coach's belief that he is a big-name player when he makes his Heineken Cup debut for Glasgow in the bubbling Premiership hotbed of Bath.

The 20-year-old has flitted in and out of the Glasgow team, used mainly as a replacement to cover full-back and stand-off, and performing mainly in the former. But, with Glasgow's Heineken Cup quarter-final hopes already flattened, and Mark McMillan sidelined until the new year after a knee operation so pulling Colin Gregor into scrum-half, Sean Lineen has opted to rest Dan Parks, and deemed Jackson ready for his next lesson in pro rugby.
