Britain's jobs market is set to "stall" in the New Year, raising the prospect of increasing numbers of people looking abroad for work, a report today suggests.

Areas where public sector employment levels are particularly high, such as Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north-east of England, will struggle, leading to an increase in the number of people out of work for several months.
