OIL operators in the North Sea are failing to invest enough in new technology because they see the area as a declining energy base, a top management consultancy has said.
The comments from Johan Nell, head of upstream at Accenture, which employs 250 staff in Aberdeen, come ahead of the biennial Offshore Europe conference in the city, which attracts oil industry professionals from across the world. This year's event, organised by the Offshore Europe Partnership, a joint venture between the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Reed Exhibitions, is named "Energy at a Crossroads".See the full content of this document
