THE killer who executed a known Glasgow underworld figure may have contacted detectives with crucial information about the gangland-style "hit", it emerged yesterday.

The bound body of Brian Diver, 50, a criminal with convictions for armed robbery and connections to big city gangsters was found in a Lanarkshire landfill site on 9 May. He had been missing since January.
