JACK McConnell was last night accused of using taxpayers money to fund Labour's election campaign during an official visit to a crucial marginal constituency.

The First Minister was joined on his trip to the Western Isles, by Calum MacDonald, who ceased to be the area's Labour MP and became the party's candidate after the dissolution of Parliament yesterday.
