JACK McConnell appealed to Celtic and Rangers to do more to tackle bigotry yesterday after seeing the scars of sectarianism across Belfast.

The First Minister admitted there was a clear cross-over between sectarianism in Northern Ireland and support for the Old Firm clubs in Scotland and he urged both clubs to "push the boundaries" to help defeat sectarian violence.
