Summary
RORY McIlroy has taken over pole position in the Race to Dubai despite missing out on the top prize in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
In sharing second spot with Englishman Oliver Wilson, the 20- year-old from Northern Ireland earned a cheque for just over GBP 250,000. That took his earnings for the year to GBP 1,805,680, lifting McIlroy above both Martin Kaymer and Paul Casey, neither of whom were playing in the event as they recover from injuries. "I wanted better but I'm delighted to have moved to the top in the Race to Dubai and I'll be aiming to go further ahead in Portugal," he said.See the full content of this document
