Summary
In the mid-1990s I went to London to visit a classmate's brother at university. In an attempt to look like a cool, metropolitan type I wore cargo trousers. No sooner had I walked into the halls of residence than a Cockney geeza stopped me in my tracks with the words: "Oi, mate! You wanna be in the army or samfink?" Pretty girls laughed. I was crushed. But it turns out I was ahead of my time. Today even boxing champ Joe Calzaghe, right, is wearing them. If you've got a problem with that, maybe you'd like to discuss it with him? Hmm?
