Summary
Perfection is dull. Perfect colours are dull. Perfect focus is dull. Digital cameras have become so ruthlessly efficient that almost anyone can take a pin-sharp snap, but the one thing these modern miracles can't do is get things beautifully wrong. Only inexpertly exposed film can do that. As a reaction against the samey perfection of the pixellated world, more shutterbugs are turning to retro-style film cameras to achieve unpredictable results. Leading the charge are the guys at Lomo, with their Fisheye No2. Its weirdly distorting goldfish bowl lens means you never know what you're gonna get.
