Milk Industry to Call for End of Quotas

LEADERS of the milk sector are expected to declare at a conference in London tomorrow that the sooner milk quotas are consigned to history the better.

The findings of a survey by Dairy UK, the organisation supported by the trade and producers through a levy, make for interesting reading. More than 70 per cent of respondents favour the abolition of the quota regime, with 77 per cent of those saying it should happen before 2013.
