A DECISION by health boards in Scotland to set aside millions to pay for voluntary redundancy programmes has been derided by Labour.

Information released under freedom of information shows some NHS boards are budgeting for large-scale redundancies ahead of an expected public-sector budget squeeze. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has allocated GBP5 million for voluntary job losses, with NHS Forth Valley setting aside GBP2m.
