SHELL'S new chairman is considering a major shake-up of the company's corporate structure in an effort to restore City confidence in the oil giant.

Jeroen van der Veer, who took the helm of the world's third- biggest oil company on Wednesday after Sir Phillip Watts was ousted, said he was in a "listening phase" with investors, many of whom have lost faith in the company since its shock reserves downgrade.
