Officials Dismiss Police Fears On Bill

THE Scottish Executive yesterday re-opened its row with the police over proposed anti-social behaviour laws by dismissing warnings over the cost of the planned legislation as "misleading".

Executive officials also claimed that the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) had missed "fundamental points" in its concerns about how much the new measures would cost.
