Actress Tilda Swinton is perhaps better known for her experimental film roles than as the muse of the conceptual fashion designers Viktor & Rolf. Swinton's androgynous beauty and unconventional style led her to seek out the Dutch duo when she needed a dress for the 1999 Golden Globe Awards. A beautiful working relationship was born and the three have collaborated on collections ever since.

Swinton's wardrobe at home in Nairn also contains pieces by other left-field designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Haider Ackerman, Vivienne Westwood and just as importantly, Blythswood, the local hospice charity shop.
