SOMETHING in the Scottish air clearly agreed with Dan Petrescu when, as a 20-year-old protege of Romanian football, he was among the substitutes at Ibrox when Steaua Bucharest defeated Rangers in the quarter-finals of the 1987-88 European Cup.
Following his subsequently stellar playing career, which saw him collect domestic and European silverware with Chelsea and win 95 caps for his country, Petrescu chose Scotland as a starting point for his managerial reign with Unirea Urziceni.See the full content of this document
